Breaking boundaries and reconstructing life scenarios

The core design philosophy of glass sunrooms is to blur the physical boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a "third space" that combines openness and privacy. Whether it's villa terraces, apartment balconies, or commercial outdoor areas, sunrooms can be functionally reconfigured according to different scene requirements:

Family scene.

The sunroom in a high-end community in Shanghai is divided into a morning yoga area, an afternoon tea break area, an evening reading area, and a night sky cinema. The space can be freely switched through track style partitions and modular furniture. The 95 square meter terrace sunroom in a villa in Guangdong not only integrates the function of drying clothes, but also creates a natural leisure atmosphere through wooden shelves and climbing vines, catering to the needs of three generations of people.

Business scenario.

The dessert shop in the Hubin commercial district of Hangzhou combines a sunroom with a rotating dessert display platform. When closed on rainy days, it transforms into a transparent display window, attracting customers to stop and increase monthly revenue by 180000 yuan. The hot pot restaurant on Chunxi Road in Chengdu uses an intelligent temperature control system to create a "refreshing hot pot house" in summer and switch to an "outdoor hot and spicy" mode in winter, achieving all-weather differentiated operation.

This scene based design not only improves space utilization, but also gives life a sense of ceremony - stretching out in the morning light, enjoying tea and reading under the mottled tree shadows in the afternoon, looking up at the stars or watching outdoor movies at night, every moment is filled with poetry due to the existence of the sunroom.

Material Innovation: From Basic Functions to Ecological Environmental Protection.

The performance and aesthetics of glass sunrooms are highly dependent on material selection. In recent years, technological breakthroughs have evolved glass from a single transparent medium to a composite material that integrates safety, energy efficiency, and intelligence.

Iterative upgrade of glass materials.

Hollow glass and Low-E glass: The application proportion of third-generation Low-E hollow glass has increased to 58%. With the use of inert gas filling technology, the heat transfer coefficient can be as low as 1.1W/(m ² · K), which increases the energy saving rate by 42% compared to traditional glass. This type of glass reflects far-infrared rays through a coating layer, reducing heat loss in winter and blocking ultraviolet and thermal radiation in summer. Combined with electric sunshades, it can further reduce air conditioning energy consumption by 35%.

Laminated glass and tempered glass: Laminated glass, with the bonding effect of the middle PVB film, will not splash or injure people even if it is broken, and it also has excellent sound insulation performance (can reduce noise by more than 30 decibels). Tempered glass is strengthened through physical strengthening processes, increasing its strength by 3-5 times and significantly improving its impact resistance compared to ordinary glass.

Breakthrough in new materials: Acrylic UV resistant board has a light transmittance of up to 93%, can block 99% of ultraviolet rays, and weighs only half of glass, making it particularly suitable for home scenes with high safety requirements. Aerogel thermal insulation glass will become the focus at the 2025 International Architecture Exhibition. Its thermal conductivity is only 0.013W/(m ・ K), equivalent to 1/40 of traditional glass. It can still maintain stable performance under the extreme temperature difference of -40 ℃ to 120 ℃.
