(1) Classified by opening method
Side hung windows: Side hung windows can be divided into two types: inner side hung and outer side hung. When the casement window is opened, the window sash rotates towards the interior, which has the advantages of convenient cleaning of the glass inside the window, high safety, and making it difficult for rainwater to enter the room in rainy weather. When the external casement window is opened, the window sash rotates towards the outside, which does not occupy indoor space, has good ventilation effect, and can make the building facade more concise and beautiful. However, external casement windows have certain safety hazards. In case of strong winds, the window sashes may be blown off, and it is difficult to clean the outer glass in high-rise residential buildings. The sealing performance of the casement window is excellent. Through the design of multiple sealing strips, it can effectively block the infiltration of rainwater, dust, and air, and has significant sound and heat insulation effects.
Sliding windows: Sliding windows are divided into two types: left and right sliding and up and down sliding, among which left and right sliding windows are more common. Its biggest advantage is that it does not occupy indoor or outdoor space when opened, with a large window width, a wide field of view, a large lighting area, and simple operation. Simply push the window sash to open and close. However, the sealing performance of sliding windows is slightly inferior to that of casement windows, as there are gaps between the window sashes, resulting in slightly poorer air tightness, water tightness, and sound insulation effects. Moreover, both windows cannot be fully opened at the same time, and the ventilation volume can only reach half of the window area at most.
Hanging window: Hanging window is a new type of opening method developed on the basis of casement window. The window sash is installed above the window frame through hinges and can be opened upwards at a certain angle. This opening method ensures ventilation while effectively preventing rainwater from entering the room, and has high safety. Even if the window is open, it is difficult for outdoor personnel to enter the room through the window, making it particularly suitable for use when there is no one at home. Upper hanging windows can also be combined with casement windows to form casement external hanging windows or casement internal hanging windows, meeting the needs and ventilation requirements of different users.
Folding window: A folding window is composed of multiple window sashes connected by hinges. When opened, the sashes can be folded along the track to one or both sides, achieving a large area of opening and excellent ventilation effect, which can maximize the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Folding windows are commonly used in balconies, terraces, and other spaces to create an open and transparent visual effect, enhancing the overall beauty of the space. But its structure is relatively complex, requiring high installation accuracy, and the price is relatively expensive.
(2) Classified by profile structure
Ordinary aluminum alloy doors and windows: The profiles of ordinary aluminum alloy doors and windows are made of solid aluminum alloy material, which has the advantages of relatively low price, simple processing technology, and short production cycle. However, due to the fact that aluminum alloy is a good conductor of heat, ordinary aluminum alloy doors and windows have poor thermal insulation performance, which can easily cause indoor heat loss in winter and outdoor heat to enter the room in summer, increasing the energy consumption of air conditioning and heating systems.
Broken bridge aluminum alloy doors and windows: Broken bridge aluminum alloy doors and windows are upgraded products based on ordinary aluminum alloy doors and windows. The principle is to use insulation strips to separate the two layers of aluminum alloy profiles indoors and outdoors, forming a broken bridge structure, effectively preventing heat from being conducted through the aluminum alloy profiles. Insulation strips are usually made of materials with extremely low thermal conductivity, such as PA66 nylon. This structural design greatly improves the insulation performance of doors and windows and reduces energy consumption.
Broken bridge aluminum alloy doors and windows also have good sound insulation, waterproofing, and sealing performance. At the same time, their appearance colors are rich and diverse, which can meet the decoration needs of different architectural styles.
